I began "designing" things at an early age. One of my first masterpieces was an Easter bonnet fashioned out of a paper plate. It was a site to behold! From there, I went on to become the "chief sign designer" for all school posters and banners, as well as the editor for the school newspaper.

After High School graduation, my career led me into the corporate world working for a Fortune 500 company. Design became a tool that I used to create presentation materials that not only communicated verbally, but visually as well. I learned the importance of being able to work with various departments on a single objective, and to effectively coordinate workflow so that projects were completed in a timely manner and within budget constraints.

In the spring of 2000, I decided to take a leap of faith and shed the security of my corporate job to become a freelance web designer. I obtained an Associate Degree in Web Design and Development, and in March of 2002, KraftCreative was born. Since that time I have been working as a contract designer for eBusiness solutions companies, and doing freelance work for small companies or organizations wanting to gain a web presence. My design process integrates the skills I learned from the corporate world with the ability to effectively listen to my clients to identify their needs and to understand the image and message they wish to convey.

My design philosophy is simple. I just look back to the Easter bonnet that I made out of a paper plate. It's not what you start with … it's what you dare to dream, believe and create that matters.
